Baghdad (Iraqinews.com) A security source informed that three persons were arrested in different areas of Baghdad. The three persons were arrested for firing indiscriminately, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.

The source pointed out that the security forces in Karada managed, today, to arrest a person for firing indiscriminately in the air. They also seized a gun that was with him and transferred him to al-Saadon security center, he added.

Furthermore, the source, who asked to be anonymous, revealed that the security forces in Yarmouk also managed to arrest a person in al-Dawoody area. The arrested person fired celebratory gunfire in a wedding, while they also arrested another one in Hay al-Jame’a on same charges.

Meanwhile, al-Shola security forces heard gunfire in al-Dawanm area. The security forces cordoned off and searched the area, and the suspected person was arrested.

It is noteworthy that indiscriminate and celebratory gunfire is a tradition in the country. This tradition resulted in the killing of dozens of civilians in the previous years.
