Security forces capture 2 persons & detonate 3 IEDs in Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) Security Media Center announced, on Wednesday, that the security forces arrested two persons, while detonated three improvised explosive devices, in Salahuddin Province.

The Center said in a statement that the security forces from Samarra Operations managed to detonate 3 improvised explosive devices, mortar shell, RGB and 155mm canon shell.

Furthermore, it added that the security forces arrested two wanted persons on different charges at the headquarters of al-Dajeel checkpoint.

It is noteworthy that the former Commander of Iraqi Armed Forced Haider Abadi announced, on 9 December 2017, fully liberating the Iraqi territory from the grip of the Islamic State group, while between July 2012 and July 2013, ISIS carried out nearly 24 car bomb attacks and eight prison breaks in Iraq.
