Security forces close bridge and Hurya Square in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source revealed that security forces closed the Two Stories Bridge and al-Hurya Square in the capital, Baghdad, in conjunction with the demonstration, which is planned to take place today in front of the Green Zone, Alsumaria News reported on Wednesday.

The source said, “Security forces closed, at noon today, the Two Stories Bridge that links between al-Dawra area with al-Hurya Square, in central Baghdad.”

“The security forces also closed al-Hurya Square and all roads leading to it,” the source added on condition of anonymity.

Earlier today, Iraqi security forces started to close all roads leading to the gates of the Green Zone, due the demonstrations that are scheduled to take place today, while employees of the Green Zone left the area in anticipation of clashes with the demonstrators.
