(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, an informed source revealed, that the security forces closed the entrances to the Green Zone in central Baghdad, in conjunction with the House of Representatives session that was attended by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to present the new cabinet reshuffle and the demonstration organized by the followers of the Sadrist movement near its gates, while pointed out that the security forces also prevented the staff working in the Green Zone from leaving the area.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This afternoon the security forces who were assigned to protect the Green Zone in central Baghdad closed all entrances to the area, in conjunction with the parliament session that was chaired by Salim al-Jubouri and attended by the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to present the new ministerial reshuffle.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The security forces also prevented the employees working in the Green Zone from leaving the area.”
