Security forces control 3 neighborhoods in Baiji

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A security source in Salahuddin province announced Wednesday, that the security forces were able to regain control over three neighborhoods in Baiji and raised the Iraqi flag over most of the neighborhoods’ buildings, stressing that those forces have also imposed control over the three towers in Baiji oil refinery and the North East Tigris Gate of the refinery.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The joint security forces managed to gain control over the Military Neighborhood, the Oil Neighborhood and the Martyrs Neighborhood and raised the Iraqi flag on the majority of their buildings.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The forces also managed to impose their control over the towers 15, 16 and 17 in the Baiji oil refinery and the North East Tigris Gate of the refinery.”

  1. Just abandon that old refinery! Let daesh move in! then launch B52 saturation carpet bombing raids on it. then let the coalition planes attack it, and finish it off with artillery! you can then build a brand new state of the art refinery!
