(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Security forces today have cut off al-Jumhoria bridge and some other roads that lead to al-Tahrir Square in central Baghdad and further intensified their presence near the Green Zone.

According to information shared by a source in the Ministry of Interior, “The security forces cut off al-Jumhoria bridge and some roads that lead to Tahrir Square in central Baghdad and intensified their presence near the Green Zone after tens of activists gathered in the area to celebrate the anniversary of the demonstrators that called for reform and services.”

It is worth mentioning here that Sadrist movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr has prevented his followers from demonstrating for a period of 30 days.
