(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – On Wednesday, Kirkuk Police chief Brigadier General Sarhad Qader announced arresting eight wanted individuals on charges of “terrorism” northwest of the province.

Qader said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today, a force belonging to Kirkuk Police and Peshmerga conducted a security operation in the village of Qura Taba in the vicinity of Aegi (15 km northwest of Kirkuk), resulting in the arrest of eight wanted individuals on charges of terrorism.”

Qader added, “The detainees were transferred to the headquarters of detention for interrogation.”
