(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Fallujah Operations Command announced that the security forces have tunneled a trench around Fallujah as precautionary measure.

“The trench will be 11 km long, 1.5 meter deep and 12.5 meter wide and it will have one entrance and exit to the city. This will also smooth out security control,” informed commander of Fallujah Liberation Operations Lieutenant General Abdel Wahab al-Saedi in a release issued to the media.

Speaking about ways of identifying Fallujah residents, Fallujah Mayor Eissa al-Eissawy said, “Personal data of Fallujah residents will be electronically saved and digital IDs will issued to them and this will ease their entry and exit to the city. Badges with electronic chip of the vehicles will also be issued to the residents.”
