Security forces dismantle missiles & grenades near bridge in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews) A police source informed, on Saturday, that two missiles and grenades were dismantled, near Hayy Tunis Bridge in Baghdad, without causing any casualties.

In a press statement, the source said, “Baghdad patrols discovered two missiles and grenades, ready for explosion, near Hayy Tunis Bridge, in the capital, Baghdad.”

The source added, on condition of anonymity, that bomb squad arrived in the area and dismantled the missiles and grenades, without causing any causalities.

It is noteworthy that violence in iraq has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.
