 Security forces enter al-Mallab in southern Ramadi, says Khalidiya Council

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The President of the Security Committee in Khalidiya District Council Ibrahim Fahdawi announced on Saturday, that the anti-terrorism forces have entered the area of al-Mallab south of Ramadi, while emphasized that the security forces reached the outskirts of the headquarters of Anbar Operations Command north of the city.

Fahdawi stated for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces, with support from the army’s 16th brigade, advanced from the area of al-Humaria into Ramadi, while arrived in al-Dabet and al-Bekr neighborhoods in south of the city,” pointing out that, “Forces belonging to the Anti-Terrorism Command were able to enter parts of the area of al-Mallab south of Ramadi, after clashing with ISIS elements, in which the latter suffered heavy material and human losses.”
