Nineveh (IraqiNews) A security source informed, on Saturday, that security forces imposed a curfew on motorbikes in Nineveh, following a booby-trapped motorbike attack earlier today.

The source said in a press statement that following a booby-trapped motorbike attack, earlier today, security forces imposed a curfew on the motorbikes movement in the province. “Anyone who violates the decree will be detained and fined,” the source added.

It is noteworthy that two Iraqi people were wounded, earlier today, in a booby-trapped motorbike blast in al-Magmoaa area in Mosul City, once a capital of the Islamic State terrorist group’s sprawling self-proclaimed “caliphate”. The wounded civilians were moved to a nearby hospital to receive the treatment.

Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.
