Security forces kill 6 IS fighters, destroy car bomb near Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Federal Police Command announced on Friday killing six members of the Islamic State, and detonating a car bomb, southwest of Mosul.
Federal Police’s media office said in a press statement, “Federal Police forces managed, today, to destroy a booby-trapped vehicle, driven by a suicide bomber, in al-Intsar neighborhood, southwest of Mosul, in addition to killing six members of the Islamic State, including a sniper.”
“Security forces managed to destroy the vehicle before approaching security troops,” the statement added.
