Security forces repel ISIS attack on Jazirah, Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) An official source in Salahuddin province said Thursday, that the security forces have managed to repel an ISIS offensive on the area of al-Jazirah, located in west of Tikrit.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “Security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia fighters have managed to repel a massive offensive by the ISIS group militants against sites for the security forces in the area of al-Jazirah, located in west of Tikrit,” pointing out that, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing and injuring dozens of ISIS militants, including seven suicidal elements who were wearing some explosive belts during the attack.”
