Security forces storm government complex, killing dozens of ISIS elements in Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Sunday, the Chairman of the Provincial Council of Anbar announced, that the security forces have stormed the government complex in the center of Ramadi (110 km west of Anbar), while indicated that dozens of ISIS elements were killed during the raid.

Sabah al-Karhut said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces were able to break into the government complex in the center of Ramadi,” adding that, “Dozens of ISIS elements were killed due to the violent confrontation with the security forces.”

Al-Karhut continued, “The storming operation had been conducted from two axes, the first axis from al-Haouz area and the second from al-Thubat area.”
