WMC: Security forces fully liberate Yarmouk Power Station
Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Ministry of Defense’s War Media cell announced on Saturday, that security forces fully liberated al-Yarmouk Power Station in western Mosul, while emphasized that the station is serving the whole city.
The cell said in a press statement, “Troops of the army’s 9th armored brigade managed to liberate al-Yarmouk Power Station, and raised Iraqi flag over its building.”
“The liberated station is serving the entire city of Mosul,” the statement added.
Noteworthy, in 19 February 2017, Prime Minister and General Commander of Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi announced launching an offensive to liberate the western side of the city of Mosul.
