Two civilians killed, 3 others injured in motorbike blast in central Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Two Iraqi civilians have been killed and three others were injured on Thursday morning, by a booby-trapped  motorbike explosion in northern Iraq‘s oil-rich city of Kirkuk, according to a statement by its Police Director. “A booby-trapped motorbike has blown off close to a telephone exchange in northern Kirkuk‘s Tisin district on Thursday, killing 2 civilians and wounding 3 others,” Lt-Brigadier, Sarhad Qader told news agency. He said that the blast had caused huge material damage for several cars, parked around the venue of the blast, along with causing damage to houses and shops close to the venue, adding that the wounded were driven to nearby hospitals, whilst an investigation was opened about the incident.
