Senior ISIS leader al-Shishani is killed, announces Head of Chechnya

Grozny, Chechnya (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Head of Chechnya Ramadan Kadyrov said that one of the most dangerous and senior leaders of the ISIS group has been killed.

Kadyrov commented on the photo of Tarkhan Batarishfily, known as Omar al-Shishani as reported by RT, “This is the fate of everyone to imagine they can threaten Russia or the people of Chechnya… It’s the fate of everyone who kills Muslims.”

Omar al-Shishani is one of hundreds of Chechen fighters within the ISIS group in Syria, and he is one of the senior leaders of the group. He was born in Georgia in 1968 and his real name is Tarhan Batarishfily. He had served in the Georgian Army before he was exempted and detained on the back of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
