Sniper attack in northern Baghdad, three casualties reported

( Baghdad – Three casualties were reported from northern Baghdad after a sniper attack at an army checkpoint in the area on Monday.

In a press statement, a copy of which was also obtained by Iraqi News, it was stated, “This morning in a sniper attack at an army checkpoint in al-Tarmiyah district in northern Baghdad killed one soldier and injured two others.”

“The security force transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for availing them with better medical treatments. The body of the deceased soldier was sent ofr forensic tests,” added the statement.
