5 soldiers killed, injured in Tikrit

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Two soldiers were killed while three others were injured on Tuesday when an Improvised Explosive Device Exploded targeting their patrol to the south of Tikrit.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “An IED that was emplaced near Rasafi River in Samarra of southern Tikrit exploded targeting army patrol, thus killed two soldiers and wounding three others.”

“Security force transported the injured to a hospital for treatment while the dead bodies were sent to the morgue,” the source added/ End/
