(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A local source in Kirkuk province said Thursday, that ISIS blew up 35 houses for the displaced families who fled from Hawija southwest of the province.

The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “ISIS militants blew up 35 houses in the areas of Abbasi, Riyadh, Zab and the outskirts of Hawija (55 km southwest of Kirkuk),” noting that “Those houses belong to displaced families that fled from the [ISIS] oppression.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “One of the [ISIS] leaders gathered the residents and told them that he had dozens of detainees that will execute them in the event of the escape of families from the district towards Kirkuk or Salahuddin provinces.”
