Sources: ISIS cuts all phone communications in Mosul as leader al-Baghdadi allegedly arrives in city

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a local source in Nineveh revealed that the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State, known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is inside the city of al-Mosul.

The source informed IraqiNews, “Since this morning, the ISIS group cut off all phone communications in the city of al-Mosul without clarifying the reason behind taking such an action. Residents of the city showed resentment because they couldn’t use their mobile phones, but they said it could be some security procedures by the group.”

The source confirmed, “It was ISIS elements who cut off all phone communications in the city…and some information spread suggesting that the leader of the ISIS group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is in Mosul.”
