Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A suicide bomber killed and wounded a number of civilians at the north of the Iraqi capital on Wednesday, security authorities and press reports said.
The attacker targeted a “mourning ceremony” in Tarimiya, north of Baghdad, leaving a number of civilians dead and wounded, the Iraqi Security Media Center was quoted saying.
The center did not specify a casualty toll, but some Iraqi media outlets said a total of 5 were killed and wounded.
A total of 68 Iraqis were killed and another 122 injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in April, according to casualty figures recorded by (UNAMI). Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for attacks of the deadliest attacks in the capital.
