Taxi driver kills traffic officer by his personal pistol in central Baghdad
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Interior Ministry announced on Sunday, that a taxi driver has killed an officer in the traffic police with a gun after a quarrel in central Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A quarrel took place at noon today between a taxi driver and an officer in the traffic police, after a traffic violation in the Renaissance Square in central Baghdad. The taxi driver pulled the personal pistol against the officer and shot him, killing him on the spot. ”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “A security force rushed to the scene and arrested the taxi driver, while also transferred the body of the officer to the forensic medicine department,” without giving further details.
