Threats to attack Parliament on next Thursday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A security source told IraqiNews.com ”The Parliament received new threats to be attacked by armed groups.””The Parliament in considering to announce Thursday as a holiday due to the threats,” the source added.The Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, accused some side of attempting to hinder the legislative role of the Parliament saying that ”We will use all our capacities to confront these security threats which were launched by some sides to hinder the supervisory role of the Parliament.””We pledge that the Parliament will keep practicing its constitutional role in monitoring the institutions in order to upgrade reality of services in Iraq,” Nijaifi added.
