Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Three convicts were sentenced to life over providing Islamic State with logistics in Nineveh, the Central Criminal Court decreed on Wednesday.

In a statement, Abdul Sattar al-Bayraqdar, Spokesperson for the High Judicial Council, said the Central Criminal Court in Baghdad “reviewed cases of three militants, who confessed that they provided the militant group with logistic support.”

One of the convicts, according to the statement, “was in charge of training militants, while the other was tasked with stealing money of security personnel and handing them to the group. The third one was in charge of manufacturing the so-called booby-trapped beads.”

Nineveh Criminal Court sentenced, on Monday, an Islamic State member to death over involvement in killing security personnel in the province.

Last week, two Islamic State members were sentenced to death and a third militant to life over carrying out terrorist operations and attacking security troops. The Central Criminal Court in Baghdad sentenced five persons to death over links with the Islamic State militant group.

Many Islamic State members were detained during liberation battles that freed cities, which were recaptured by the militant group in 2014.

Last month, the criminal court of Nineveh sentenced an Islamic State member, known as al-Muhajir, to death, while the Criminal Court in Baghdad sentenced two militants to life.
