Tribal conflict renewed armed clashes north of Basra

( Basra – A security source in Basra Province announced, that armed clashes broke out in al-Karma area north of the province between the members of two tribes, while the security forces were deployed in the area to resolve the dispute.

The source said in a statement followed by, “Armed clashes broke out between the members of two tribes in al-Karma area north of Basra,” pointing out that, “The heavy gun fire caused a security disturbance in the area.”

The source added, “The police forces cordoned off the area, while prepared to resolve the dispute and arrest its perpetrators.”
