UK decides to send drones to participate in striking ISIS in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Britain announced that  it has decided to send armed drones aircraft to Iraq to participate in striking the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, in addition to supporting Tornado aircrafts.

The British Defense Secretary, Michael Fallon, said in a statement to parliament reported by Reuters and followed by IraqiNews.com that “Reaper Drone planes which have been decided to be sent to Iraq are involved in the Afghan war and would be re-deployed.”

Fallon added that the Reaper Drone is the only UK armed plane which is being routed remotely, pointing out that “the use will be governed by the rules of engagement in force, which means that its operations will be short in Iraq.” /End/
