Urgent – Car bomb explodes in Kut

Wassit, Kut (IraqiNews.com) Two civilians were killed and wounded when a car bomb exploded in northern Wassit province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The car bomb, which was parked in a garage in Hafriya, tourist restaurant, exploded in Hafriya area which is located on the highway that links Kut and Baghdad to the north of Wassit province,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing a civilian and wounding another.”

”The explosion caused material damage to the restaurant,” the source added, stressing that”The police patrols transported the dead body of the civilian to the morgue and the injured person to the hospital for treatment.”

Series of explosions took place in Baghdad and other provinces, the heaviest was an explosion of a car bomb in a popular market in Babel province that resulted in killing dozens of people. \
