URGENT: Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff arrives in Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joseph Dunford, has arrived in Iraq on an unannounced visit.

“Reuters” said in a report followed by IraqiNews.com, “The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joseph Dunford, arrived in Iraq on an unannounced visit,” indicating that “The visit aims to cover the latest developments in the battle against ISIS.”

“This is the first visit by Dunford to Iraq since taking his office in the first of October,” the report added.

For his part, Dunford’s spokesman said that “General Dunford will meet with Iraqi government officials and will talk with US leaders.”

  1. Interesting that he was refused permission to land in Erbil because he was in a cargo plane and he wanted to have a chat with the Kurd Peshmerga to also see the situation in Iraq from them.

  2. Never trust US. They are going to protect ISIS. They said that then dropped 22,000 bomb against ISIS in past 3 years. Can any body believe that….and ISIS keep on expanding, no body count also??

    Russian can terminate almost half of the terrorist in 2 weeks.

    Iraq PM must make a written request to Russian President for air support. Kick out US jet and army. if you are not so convince, let give 6 months grace period to Mr Putin and see the result.
