URGENT: Kurdish Peshmerga forces fully recapture Mosul Dam

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) According to an official source in the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, the Peshmerga seized full control of the Mosul Dam. He also reiterated that American air stikes against sites of militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant were integral in aiding Peshmerga forces.

The source said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “Peshmerga forces seized control of the entire Mosul Dam,” adding that “the elements of ISIL are currently inside the residential compound of Mosul Dam.”

The source, who requested anonymity, said that “the Peshmerga forces are in significant progress toward achieving its goals”, asserting that “American warplanes continue bombing the sites of ISIL inside the dam.”
