(IraqiNews.com) A security source announced on Monday, that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces have attacked the ISIS group’s strongholds in the Forest area in Mosul.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews, “The Peshmerga forces attacked the strongholds and gatherings of ISIS elements with artillery shells in the Forest area in the center of Mosul.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “The forces are still bombing the area from Mount Baashiqa,” pointing out that, “Dozens of ISIS elements have been killed and wounded so far.”

It is noteworthy that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces were able to regain control of large areas in Mosul, while other areas are still under the control of ISIS that swept the province on June 10, 2014.

  1. I trust d peshmerg, kill all isis cowards, no prisoners, no mercy. Wish I could join in d elimination of daesh.

  2. All ISIS has managed to do in this last year is make the Iraqi military and the Peshmerga stronger as I predicted in April, 2014 on the site. Now, they have brought in a superpower against them and it doesn’t matter how many jihadists they recruit or how long they fight, Iraq will be their graveyard. ISIS is the best example I know of a good tactical campaign and the worst strategy in the history of warfare. Biggest bunch of fools and losers who have basically committed suicide!

  3. ISIS days are numbered and all the countries sad pathetic losers who want to join them is a good way of cleaning this world of scum.

Long may they all burn in hell.
