(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, according to an official source in the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, that the Peshmerga forces launched a massive offensive on ISIS sites in the 3 fronts in Zammar district, west of Mosul, asserting the continual progress of the Peshmerga forces toward their goals.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “This morning, Peshmerga forces launched a massive ground offensive targeting ISIS sites in the vicinity of Zammar, west of Mosul,” adding, “Hakna, Karez and Kopanki in Zammar area were included in the attack.”
The source, who asked not to be named, said, “Peshmerga forces are in continual progress in this area.”
Noteworthy, the Peshmerga forces, in October 25-2014, fully regained control over Zammar center, 40 northwest of Mosul.
