(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter arrived on Wednesday in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on an unannounced visit. Carter will discuss the security and political situation, especially the war against ISIS, as well as important regional issues.

An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter arrived this morning in the capital Baghdad on an unannounced visit,” adding that, “Carter will discuss with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Iraqi officials many security and political issues, especially the war against ISIS and some important regional issues.”
