Violent clashes between Iraqi forces and ISIS elements in Baiji

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Violent clashes broke out Wednesday, between the joint Iraqi forces and ISIS elements inside Tamim neighborhood in the center of Baiji north of Salahuddin.

A security source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Iraqi forces is surrounding Baiji and have controlled a number of the northern and southern neighborhoods, while ISIS elements are hiding in the center of the district,” adding that, “Iraqi forces  have advanced towards the ISIS strongholds in Tamim neighborhood today, which led to violent clashes between the two sides.”
