Wanted persons detained and arms seized in Diyala

( Diyala – Diyala Police Command announced on Sunday that two wanted individuals were arrested and a cache of gear was seized during raids and field operations at different areas of the province.

Diyala Police chief, Jasim al-Sa’adi, in a brief statement issued to the media, said, “Police personnel today detained two individuals, wanted for several criminal charges, during two raids carried out in the vicinity of Mandeli (90 km east of Baqubah) and the outskirts of al-Maqdadiya (35 km northeast of Baqubah),” adding, “The forces further were successful in seizing a hoard containing six mortar shells and a cannon, in addition to quantities of gears at Jawad al-Bash (25 km south of Baqubah).”
