(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The international coalition spokesman Steve Warren announced on Thursday, that the Peshmerga forces managed to control Tel Skuf vicinity north of Mosul, after being attacked by 150 ISIS members, while emphasized that the security forces killed 60 ISIS members and destructed three car bombs.

Warren said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “150 ISIS fighters attacked Tel Skuf in northern Mosul,” adding that, “The Peshmerga forces managed to kill 60 members of ISIS and destructed three car bombs, as well as tightening their grip on the region.”

Warren continued, “The attack on Tel Skuf fits the ISIS pattern of launching high-profile attacks to gain attention in the wake of a series of battlefield losses.”

Noteworthy, ISIS attacked in 3 May 2016 the area of Tel Skuf in northern Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad), and was able to control some regions.
