Warren: Turkey is not part of US-led coalition in Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, international coalition spokesman Steve Warren revealed, that the Turkish troops in Iraq are not a part of the US-led coalition.
Warren said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Turkish military forces in Iraq are not a part of the US-led coalition and the United States has not given Ankara the green light to fight against terrorism in the country.”
Warren added, “Turkish forces are in Iraq on their own mission,” pointing out that, “The United States is respecting Iraq’s sovereignty.”
