Zibari, Petrovic discuss military cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Army Chief of Staff Babeker Zibari discussed in his office on Sunday with the Serbian Ambassador to Iraq Radislav Petrovic means of enhancing military cooperation between Iraq and Serbia.

Statement by the Iraqi Defense Ministry received by IraqiNews.com quoted Zibari as saying “The meeting aims at consolidating military cooperation between both countries in order to elevate combat capacity of the Iraqi Army and make use of the Serbian military experiences,” appreciating the presence of the Serbian trainers in Nasiriya Air Base to train Iraqi pilots on (Lasta) plane.

Zibari stressed the importance of returning the Serbian trainers working on helicopters to Taji Military Camp, the statement added.

“For his part, the Serbian Ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to provide all necessary support for Iraqi Security Forces which fight a decisive war on behalf of the World against powers of evil represented by Qaeda and the ISIL,” the statement concluded. /End/
