Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi recently praised Iraq on the anniversary of the modern Iraqi state.

On Friday, President Sisi tweeted from his official Twitter account: “The brothers in Iraq celebrate an occasion that I consider dear to the entire Arab nation. It is the centenary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state… a hundred years have passed since the Cairo Conference in 1921, which inaugurated the establishment of the Iraqi state, as an extension of an ancient civilization that has its roots in the depths of history.”

“One hundred years witnessed many historical stations in the march of Iraq, the Arab nation, and even the whole world… On my own behalf and on behalf of the Egyptian people, we congratulate Iraq on this precious occasion, and we wish peace, security and stability to its proud people, and that Iraq will always remain an asset for the Arab nation,” President Sisi added.
