Iraq joins the Patent Cooperation Treaty

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -Iraq has joined the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
The PCT, an International Patent System, will enable Iraqi innovators to pursue patent protection for their inventions in over 150 countries through a single international application.
Iraq becomes the 155th member of the PCT Union. Starting April 30, the PCT system will go into effect in Iraq.
