Qatari Emir speaks with Iraqi President, Prime Minister

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, spoke by phone yesterday. During the call, President Rashid was congratulated on being elected to that position.

Qatar’s Emir also spoke by phone with Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, congratulating him on his appointment as the head of the future Iraqi government and wishing him luck in his new post.

During the conversations, they addressed bilateral ties between the two nations and methods to strengthen and grow them, as well as a variety of subjects of mutual interest.
