Iraqi player killed in Habibiya explosion

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The player of the Iraqi Football Team U-23 and Kahraba’ FC (Mahdi Abdul Zahra) has been killed in the explosion of the car bomb that took place on Monday in Habibiya area of eastern Baghdad.

Head coach of Kahraba’ FC Shakir Mahmoud stated to IraqiNews.com “The Player Abdul Zahra has been killed in the explosion while he was heading to the club for training.”

He added “Abdul Zahra teammate player Haider Khudhayer has been seriously injured due to the same explosion and was transported to the hospital.”

A car bomb exploded on Monday afternoon in Habibiya area of eastern Baghdad, killing and injuring 12 civilians.
