Iraq’s soccer team retreats to 99th in FIFA ranking

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s national soccer team dropped by five places in the FIFA monthly ranking to settle as 99th, collecting 337 points compared to October’s 342. Iraq‘s position followed Australia, the 1st in the Asian continent, becoming the 20th internationally, Japan 30th, South-Korea 39th, Iran 66th, Saudi Arabia 68th, Bahrain 87th, China 89th, North Korea 94th, Jordan 95th, Oman 97th. Iraq, however, outdid Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Syria, Thailand and Qatar. On the Arab level, Iraq retreated one point, behind Egypt, the first on the Arab ranking and the 10th on the international level, Algeria 34th, Tunisia 44th, Saudi Arabia 68th, Morocco 80th, Libya 81st, Bahrain 87th, Jordan 95th, Sudan 96th and Oman 97th.
