(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdul-Hussein Abtan announced on Monday, that the International Federation of Football (FIFA) agreed to lift the ban on Iraqi soccer fields, and announced that a friendly match between the Iraqi team and another team will be held by the Iraqi Football Union in September.

Abtan said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The International Federation of Football president Joseph S. Blatter has agreed to primarily lift the ban on Iraqi soccer fields by holding a friendly match between the Iraqi team and one of the teams that is to be determined by Iraqi Football Union. The match will be played in September.”
