MoY&S launches investigation over worker’s death incident

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced forming a committee to investigate in the death incident of a worker during the inauguration celebration of Basra Sports City.The Ministry of Youth and Sports reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Minister of Youth and Sports, Jasim Mohamed Jafar, instructed to launch an investigation regarding the death of a worker during the inauguration of Basra Sport City.””The Minister offers his sincere apologies and condolences to the family of the deceased, who was working with a private sector company responsible for technical affairs in the project,” the statement added.The civilian was killed while he was launching fireworks at the roof of Basra Sports City, which is made of thick pieces of glass, the worker died when he fell from above the roof, because one of the glass pieces was not in its right place. \END\
