MP: Decision of Bahraini authorities over preventing Iraqi fans Incorrect

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Youth and Sport Parliamentary Committee, Saad Hamza Kadhum, described the decision of the Bahraini authorities over preventing the Iraqi fans from attending the final match of Khaliji 21 as incorrect decision and gives political impression.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Khaliji Championship is a gathering for youth to consolidate approach among the Arab Gulf countries.”

“Such decision will not serve the sport in Gulf countries and it is a negative stance for the Bahraini Government,” he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that the Bahraini authorities apologized for not granting the visas for the Iraqi fans who want to support the Iraqi National Team in final match of Khaliji 21.

The consultant of the Ministry of Transport stated to IraqiNews.com “The Bahraini authorities rejected to grant the visas for the Iraqi fans who want to support the Iraqi National Team in final match of Khaliji 21.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Transport called the fans willing to go to Bahrain to support the Iraqi National Team to attend to the international station in al-Alawi area before seven p.m. on Thursday.

A statement by the MoT received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Ministry will send 1000 Iraqi fans to Bahrain for free,” noting that “Those who wish to go to Bahrain must come having their passports (original and copy) and then the Ministry will conduct a lottery before the media outlets at 7 p.m.”

The Iraq Government specified a plane to transport the Iraqi fans to Bahrain to attend the final of Khaliji 21.
