Sports city in Kirkuk at ID380b

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports will build a sports city in Kirkuk province at a total cost of 380 billion Iraqi dinars, a local official said on Monday. The project, scheduled for next year, will be the first of its kind in the province, the director of the local Youth and Sports Department, Jabbar Mohammed, told Iraqi News. A total of 150 donums (1 donum= 2,500 square meters) of land at the Shawan intersection (20 km north of Kirkuk city) has been zoned for the project, the official explained. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
