Vegetables imports from neighboring countries banned

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com : Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture decided to ban the importation all kinds of vegetables from neighboring countries, starting from today. The ban was due to abundant of local production, as stated to IraqiNews.com. No other details were given. Iraq imports most of its vegetable needs from Syria, Jordan and Iran, as well as some fruits from Turkey. In previous years, the Ministry used to ban the importation of certain kinds of products during the year. 1590
