US conducts new airstrikes against ISIL [01/17/2015]

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The US Pentagon announced launching 11 air strikes on Iraq and Syria on last Friday.

The US-led international forces directed 6 air strikes in Syria and 5 strikes in Iraq targeting IS sites, said Pentagon.The air strikes centered on Syria’s Kobane where they destroyed nine fighting sites for IS. Meanwhile, the five air strikes in Iraq targeted sites used by the IS to fight with the security forces in Mosul, according to the pentagon statement. /End/
