Wave of explosions in Baghdad

BAGHDAD/ IraqiNews.com : Many Baghdad areas witnessed today a series of explosions with bombed cars and explosions that led to killing 12 and wounding 80, amid fears that the deteriorating political situation will lead to worse security events. Several security sources told IraqiNews.com that a number of explosions took place in east and westBaghdad, where majority Shiite sect lived in. These explosions remind the people of the 2006-2007 events. In Sadr city, two bombed cars exploded, with half an hour difference in time, that led to killing 6 and wounding 36. Itafiyah area, north eastBaghdad, a bomb explosion led to killing one civilian and wounding 8, according to latest security report. In Shula city, west ofBaghdad, a car exploded that led to killing 5 civilians, including school children, and wounding 28, some with grave wounds. Hurriyah area witnessed bomb explosion that led to 8 civilian casualties, in addition to material losses in the adjacent vehicles.
